Be inspired by my five favorite recipes using espresso with whipped cream below. They are easy to make and take only a few minutes to prepare and serve.

When speaking of espresso with whipped cream, we mostly refer to espresso con panna, a traditional Italian drink comprised of two shots of espresso topped with lightly whipped cream. But to take your daily grind up a notch, think outside the box and be inspired with these recipes using espresso with heavy whipped cream that takes only a few minutes to make.
First, you might find our guide on how to pull espresso helpful. If you have a fresh batch of specialty coffee at home, make sure to use it to provide your drink with an authentic and delightful espresso flavor. Without further ado, let’s jump in.
1. Classic Espresso Con Panna
This traditional coffee drink has been taking the world by storm for the past few years. It uses a double shot of espresso sitting under a dollop of heavy whipped cream. You can use a small glass to serve as an after-lunch dessert, and it’s very easy to make at home.
Materials Needed
Ingredients:
- Two shots of espresso
- One cup of cold heavy cream
Equipment:
- A dessert glass
- An electric hand mixer
- A tablespoon
- A medium-sized bowl
Methods:
Step 1: Make Whipped Cream
Pour chilled heavy cream into a medium-sized bowl. You can keep the bowl in the fridge before whipping or place it on top of ice during the whipping process to enhance its thick, cool consistency.
Use a hand mixer to slowly whip heavy cream on medium speed and gradually speed it up. Stop when the cream is sturdy enough to form peaks.
Step 2: Mix & Serve
Pour espresso into a glass. Slowly add whipped cream on top of the espresso with the tablespoon. Serve with a coffee spoon.
2. Keto Hot Cocoa With Espresso Whipped Cream
Let’s make this espresso with whipped cream recipe a bit more keto-friendly. A dash of chocolate serves as a sweet base to balance out the bitterness of the espresso. With heavy whipped cream sitting on top, you have a creamy, rich, and flavorful festive drink for the whole family.

Instead of cow’s milk, I have found a plant-based alternative to make sure all my keto friends can enjoy it. The ingredients in the recipe below suffice for three people. Adjust the amount as you go depending on how many servings you want to make.
