Mushroom coffee is no fad; this Renude Chaga Mushroom & Adaptogen Superfood Coffee Boost review will help you determine if this healthy beverage is for you.

Superfoods seem to be everywhere nowadays, but are they really worth the hype? I asked myself this as I delved into the world of Renude’s Chagaccino Mushroom & Adaptogen blend! This is a vegan latte mix that’s surprisingly light and refreshing and doesn’t overpower your morning coffee.
Mushroom coffee sounds like an odd combination, but this drink is growing in popularity for a reason. With added health benefits, anti-aging properties, and antioxidants in the mix, how bad can it be?
What Is Renude Chagaccino Mushroom & Adaptogen Coffee Boost?
As the name suggests, this mushroom coffee powder is one of many superfood adaptogen blends on the market today. However, it sets itself apart from the competition by openly asking its consumers to mix it with a prepared cup of coffee, unlike other mushroom coffee blends that want to take the place of coffee or already contain some coffee.
Brian Mizrahie, the founder of Renude, had already sold his energy boost blend in farmer’s markets but knew that it had the potential to help transform lives and coffees everywhere. Thus, the Chagaccino packet was born, helping Mizrahie bring the delicious and flavorful health blend of powerful Chaga mushrooms to people at home. Mizrahie brought the magic home to us, with product development starting in 2016 and launching in 2017.
Is Chaga Good In Coffee?
So, is Chaga good in coffee? The Chaga in Renude is shockingly good. Chaga has a mild flavor, so it won’t overpower the taste of the coffee.
The Chaga itself is said to resemble the taste of a mocha latte. We found it is more similar to cinnamon. The ingredients blend seamlessly into a cup of coffee, almost like a fine matcha powder.
The Chaga is processed into a fine powder before being packaged for Chagaccino. In addition, the makers of Reunde use monk fruit, a sugar-free all-natural sweetener, to give it a light flavor. The Chaga in Renude Chagaccino is a great formula that mixes well with hot coffee and doesn’t disintegrate when mixed with ice!

What Is An Adaptogenic Superfood?
As the name suggests, adaptogens are superfoods that can help you “adapt” to certain stressors. In Renude’s Chagaccino, the adaptogen is the Chaga mushroom. Some of the more common adaptogens you might find in other mushroom coffee supplements or superfood blends include:
- Reishi
- Lion’s mane
- Cordyceps
- Turkey tail
Adaptogens may help slow cancer growth, improve immune system support, and protect against bone marrow suppression, among other benefits. Supporting the immune system and providing an energy boost is also thought to help people have what it takes to withstand and “adapt” to stressors, hence the name.
Does Adaptogen Coffee Work?
So, how do adaptogens in coffee work? Adaptogens are thought to help provide the same energy boost people can experience from coffee, with the added health benefits of immune system support, high antioxidants, and other properties. When it comes to feeling energized after drinking mushroom coffee, the answer is that the effects will be different for everyone.
It’s important to note that most adaptogens do not in themselves contain caffeine. However, studies have recently shown that adaptogens do modulate the effects of caffeine and can help people that struggle with fatigue experience a boost without adding more caffeine to their diet.
Chaga Benefits
With Renude Chagaccino in particular, among its many purported health benefits, this high-quality wild mushroom blend is said to help users experience:
- Better immune support
- An energy boost
- Anti-aging
- Improved cognitive function
- Stress relief
If you have any medical conditions, consult your doctor beforehand. Of course, only time will tell if the Chaga mushroom truly can help with anti-aging. But, there are studies that show that the Chaga mushroom found in Renude may be:
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antiviral
- Antioxidant
- Help lower blood sugar levels
- Help lower cholesterol
Chaga Shelf-Life
While Chaga itself might have a shelf life of around two years, keep in mind that Renude is mixed with cacao, cinnamon, and monk fruit. As a result, its shelf life is about one year, provided you keep it in a cool, dry place. We recommend leaving it in your kitchen cabinet and leaving the packets unopened. Fortunately, the packaging is convenient, offering individual proportions in tough but easy-to-open packages!
How Do You Make Coffee With Renude Chaga Mushroom & Adaptogen Superfood Coffee Boost?
You can mix the Renude Chagaccio with whatever coffee you prefer to drink. For a latte, you can also take one package and mix it with a double shot of espresso. Put the entire ground mixture into your espresso machine for a combined flavor bomb. Then, pour over ice or serve hot with creamer.
Renude Chagaccino Pricing
For a carton of 10, you can expect to pay around $30, which translates to roughly $5 an ounce. While this is a high price point, Renude claims their mushrooms are wild foraged, meaning it takes a ton of work to harvest them for their products.

Who Is Renude Chagaccino For?
This superfood is best for people that don’t mind supplements in their morning coffee. If you’re one that loves to stick to the traditional, this monk fruit and mushroom coffee blend might not be up your alley. Renude Chagaccino is a great product for anyone that wants to add a bit of natural energy into their morning routine.
At 0 calories and sugar-free, it’s also a great supplement for those that are on a diet but need a little something sweet to enjoy in the morning. This is a great supplement for those that value natural ingredients to help with immune support, memory boosting, and more.
How Does Renude Chagaccino Work?
Helps Sweeten Coffee
I was a bit iffy about putting this into a black coffee without any creamer. However, I’m happy to announce that this packet really did give a beautiful vanilla-like flavor to my coffee that was not too overpowering.
Helps Give You More Energy
On the day I took this bad boy, I had been up and running for ages, trying to get a handle on my new puppy and writing projects! But I’m glad I took it when I did. I mixed this with a cup of mellow dark roast and was shocked that I had energy well into the afternoon. It felt as if I had drank a light coffee but without the added jitters and anxiety, so this is an excellent product on that end!
Helps Boost Cognitive Function
Again, I took this when I was deep into writing projects and training my puppy. I did have a steady mind and was a lot calmer than usual. As someone with anxiety and the occasional panic attack, it was nice to feel chill and mellow during the busiest of my days with Renude.
Areas For Improvement
The packaging is great, but the proportions might be too much. I found that I was pouring the package into my coffee and kept pouring, which is great for a cup of coffee but might not be good for mixing with an espresso machine. I can’t imagine having to pack espresso powder with an entire package, and where would you put the rest?
In addition, I think perhaps the price point is a bit high. While I understand that the wild Chaga must be foraged, $5 an ounce is quite high. Check out our reasons why mushroom coffee is worth trying.
Renude Chagaccino Alternatives
There are many other alternatives you might recognize, mainly MUD/WTR, that also claims to help improve physical health and give energy. However, MUD/WTR, in my opinion, is messier and requires more tools while making, leaving behind a solid level of debris. Check out our Ryze vs. MUD/WTR guide to learn more.
MUD/WTR is also not meant to be mixed with coffee. I do appreciate Renude Chagaccino’s ease of use, but I was surprised when I found out it’s not a mushroom coffee alternative, just a Chaga supplement. However, both MUD/WTR and Ryze have their own Chaga supplements for those interested.
Renude Chagaccino Review Criteria
I considered the price, ease of use, and taste when reviewing Renude Chagaccino. I started off with a dark roast coffee. I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself (a light roast coffee lover) pep throughout the day with a simple mix of Renude and Volcanica’s dark roast hand-ground coffee.
I also used regular creamer to add to my coffee since it’s the one most people have on hand. When I say I was shocked that the cinnamon flavor boldly came through, I mean I was truly surprised and loved the taste.

Why You Can Trust Me
I’ve been drinking coffee since the age of 18, and like many people, I don’t have time to make myself a cup of coffee using the fanciest machines. I’m a real person that wants to better my health, have more energy and want to know that products out there like Renude are worth the price.
When using Renude Chagaccino, I lived my life like I did for the past couple of years – busy working and trying to maintain a household. All in all, I would say I’m like most people who are constantly looking to better their health in as little time (and as little effort) as possible.
Renude Chagaccino: The Final Word
I’m pleased to say that the gorgeous retro pink packaging, good proportions, amazing flavor, and real subtle energy boost made me a fan of the Renude Chagaccino! Is it as sweet as a mocha latte? Probably not.
But will it give you improved energy with little to no jitters and some potential health benefits? I think so! This is a great product that can help you get a little pep in your step and is super easy to prepare, making it one of my favorite adaptogen products.
