Starbucks’ menu has a wide array of tasty and even healthy options

Whenever I am in line at Starbucks, I spend most of my time thinking about what drink I am going to order. For me, it is usually a debate between my usual vanilla latte and one of the more decadent seasonal drinks.

Somehow, I tend to forget that Starbucks has an excellent food menu, whether it be breakfast or later in the day. I always have my eyes up on the drink board, only peeking down at the display case of treats once I am almost standing at the register.

So many of us swing by Starbucks when we are on the go. The Starbucks menu has a wide array of tasty and even healthy options that make it a huge step up from fast food alternatives. So, what are the best Starbucks food choices? It could be the perfect accompaniment for your beverage on a hot summer day or a cold, frosty morning.

When it comes to Starbucks, we think we have got it covered, so when you are done perusing the food options, look at our roundups of the best Starbucks drinks.

Best Breakfast Items At Starbucks

I’m usually at Starbucks in the morning on my way to work. I wanted to share some breakfast items for those on the go.

Spinach, Feta & Egg White Wrap

The Spinach, Feta & Egg White Wrap is a great way to start the morning, especially for vegetarians. Made with cage-free egg whites, this whole-wheat wrap packs 20 grams of protein.

My favorite part is that it comes with sun-dried tomato cream cheese. I wish I could just buy the cream cheese to take home!

Double-Smoked Bacon, Cheddar & Egg Sandwich

For those of us who eat meat, is there anything better than a crisp slice of bacon? The bacon on this sandwich is smoked for six hours before it is covered with a melty slice of cheddar and a cage-free fried egg. This hot sandwich is served on a croissant bun, which pushes this sandwich from great to amazing!

Bacon, Sausage, & Egg Wrap

Is there a better breakfast combo than bacon, sausage, and eggs? All that’s missing is the cheese and potatoes for a complete breakfast, but Starbucks comes to the rescue in that regard. The bacon, sausage, and egg wrap includes melty cheddar cheese and potatoes to make the perfect breakfast wrap!

Rolled and Steel-Cut Oatmeal

Starbucks offers oatmeal that you can customize with nuts and fruit.

Growing up, I always loved oatmeal and cream of wheat. One of my favorite parts of eating oatmeal is being able to customize my bowl by adding nuts and fruit. I am also a fan of a splash of heavy cream in my oatmeal as well.

So, I appreciate that Starbucks offers oatmeal and that you can customize it with nuts and fruit, along with various sweeteners and kinds of milk. Especially on a cold, cloudy day, oatmeal hits the spot! And check out Starbucks’ winter drinks.

Best Lunch Items At Starbucks

Now, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I enjoy a second (or third or fourth) cup of coffee as the day progresses. I have been pleasantly surprised by how great many of the lunch menu items at Starbucks are. I have found it’s a great place to have a work meeting or friend date over lunch.

Here are a few of my go-to choices.

Tomato & Mozzarella On Focaccia

I love a good Caprese salad, so this sandwich ticks all the boxes for me! Roasted tomatoes and mozzarella are paired with spinach and tasty basil pesto, making it a great vegetarian option.

With 15 grams of protein and only 360 calories, this is an excellent, light lunch choice that still satisfies your hunger. I like pairing this with an iced tea or Refresher for a tasty lunch!

Turkey, Provolone, & Pesto An Ciabatta

I get this sandwich just for the dry-roasted red peppers and basil pesto combo. It provides that Italian flavor profile that pairs so nicely with the turkey and provolone. I am not the biggest fan of ciabatta bread, but for this sandwich, it works really well.

Eggs & Cheddar Protein Box

The Eggs & Cheddar Protein Box is the perfect choice when you have no time to spare but need some fuel to get you through the day. The boxes are ready to go in the cold box at the register.

They contain two cage-free hard-boiled eggs, sliced tart apples, grapes, and white cheddar cheese. The box also includes multigrain muesli bread and some honey peanut butter.

I can always count on the Protein Box when I’m on the run. Plus, I have found that my kids enjoy snacking on it, too, making it a good choice for anyone who has little ones in tow.

Crispy Grilled Cheese On Sourdough

Sometimes, a classic is a classic for a good reason. With a blend of white cheddar and mozzarella, I love this crispy grilled cheese on a cold, rainy day. Starbucks tops it with a parmesan butter spread that brings out a great flavor.

Sometimes, I order this to go so I can pair it with some tomato soup at home – I wouldn’t be sad if Starbucks decided to offer some soup themselves!

Best Savory Snacks At Starbucks

The Starbucks food menu is also great when you just want something small to snack on. This includes some savory snacks that will tide you over until your next big meal without being too sweet or decadent!

Bacon & Gruyère Egg Bites

I love the texture of the Bacon & Gruyère Egg Bites. They use the sous vide cooking technique to get a perfect velvety consistency, and it is packed with flavor. The egg and blend of cheeses is not only a nice little snack, but it is also packed with 19 grams of protein!

Cheese Danish

Growing up, I always loved getting a cheese danish at McDonald’s. As a kid, I never really understood what it was, but I understood that it was delicious. The Starbucks Cheese Danish takes it up to another level.

While a bit sweeter, the cheese danish only has 11 grams of sugar, making it a good “sweet” choice for anyone not wanting to consume too much sugar. For me, the cheese danish pairs really nicely with a hot cup of coffee while I catch up on reading.

Ham & Swiss Croissant

The croissant comes filled with hickory-smoked ham and melted Swiss cheese.

In my mind, the croissant is the perfect pastry all by itself. It is buttery, flaky, and delicious. This croissant comes filled with hickory-smoked ham and melted Swiss cheese and makes for a great savory treat any time of the day.

This might be my number one favorite item on the entire Starbucks food menu. Make sure to grab some napkins to wipe away any butter flakes that get away from you.

Berry Trio Parfait

Sometimes it is best to keep things simple. Whole fruit with vanilla yogurt and crunchy honey-oat granola makes this parfait a great choice for adults and kids at Starbucks. This is a good treat when I am feeling peckish, but I don’t want to spoil my next meal—the tanginess of the fruit and yogurt pair nicely with herbal teas.

Best Sweet Treats At Starbucks

Of course, when it comes to sweets, Starbucks knows what they are doing. From their decadent drinks to a wide array of snacks, Starbucks has a whole lot of tasty options to satisfy anybody’s sweet tooth.

Cake Pops

Anyone who has waited in line at Starbucks has eyed the array of cake pops on display. With a variety of flavors, including cookies & cream, birthday cake, and chocolate cake, these cake pops are a staple of the Starbucks menu.

For me, these cake pops also come with a healthy dose of nostalgia for my childhood days when eating homemade cake pops with my siblings. These are great treats when you need a tasty bite or to keep your children happy!

Iced Lemon Loaf

When I was growing up, I never really ate pastries with lemon flavor. I thought lemon bars and other such desserts were odd, and I never gave them a chance. I finally came around when I tried Starbucks Iced Lemon Loaf.

This moist pound cake is sweet, buttery, and packed with a citrus flavor. My mouth waters whenever I think about the taste of the icing. It’s fair to say I am a big fan of lemon pastries these days!

Dark Chocolate-Covered Espresso Beans

When I was in college, I lived on these dark chocolate-covered espresso beans. It is the perfect on-the-go treat to give you an energy boost throughout the day.

I find milk chocolate to be a bit too sweet, so dark chocolate provides a more subtle flavor I really enjoy without being too bitter. This rich and decadent snack is perfect for anyone on the run who wants to combine their sweet tooth with their need for a little more pep in their step.

Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf

Starbucks is famous for its use of pumpkins. Whether it be pumpkin spice lattes or this Pumpkin & Pepita Loaf, this loaf combines the sweet taste of pumpkin with the nutty flavor of pumpkin seeds.

I admit I did not realize “pepita” was just a fancy name for pumpkin seeds. I enjoy eating this loaf heated up with a vanilla latte. It is a bit sweeter (packing 38 grams of sugar), but nothing beats it when your sweet tooth decides it’s time to enjoy something delicious.

Petite Vanilla Bean Scone

I was never a big fan of scones growing up. The crumbly texture was always a bit off-putting to me, and I just never really enjoyed eating them. The Petite Vanilla Bean Scone at Starbucks changed my mind about that.

They are moist and fluffy and have a rich vanilla flavor that I find pretty addicting. They are the perfect dipping snack, whether you are drinking a black cup of coffee or a specialty latte. It is really hard to order just one of these little treats – I usually end up with three or four on my plate.

Chocolate Pistachio Swirl

The Chocolate Pistachio Swirl is a decadent, brilliant culinary creation. I admit I am quite partial to this one. With the shape and consistency of a cinnamon roll, this pastry features a delicious combo of cocoa and pistachio.

This pastry pairs very nicely with any frothy milk-based drink, such as a mocha or hot chocolate.

Banana Walnut & Pecan Loaf

I recommend you try their dense and moist banana bread with tasty, crunchy nuts.

When I was little, I really loved those Hostess banana nut loaves you could buy at the gas station. For whatever reason, I just thought that they were the best pastries.

As an adult, I am glad to have leveled up to the Starbucks Banana Walnut & Pecan Loaf—dense and moist banana bread with tasty, crunchy nuts. For me, it doesn’t get much better than this!

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin

Starbucks knows what they’re doing when it comes to all things pumpkin. This Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin is no exception! The decadent muffin pairs perfectly with the sweet cream cheese filling.

It is sort of like the breakfast-appropriate version of a slice of pumpkin pie. This gooey and delicious muffin pairs quite well with a steaming hot cup of coffee.

Cranberry Bliss Bar

A list of Starbucks’ best food would be incomplete without the Cranberry Bliss Bar. While it is only available around the holiday season, it is one of Starbucks’ most popular items! A blondie with dried cranberries topped with orange-zested cream cheese icing, the Cranberry Bliss Bar is the perfect holiday snack to pair with hot cocoa or a mocha!
